FH and i met with a priest today...he didn't ask us ANY questions, just filled out the form and said we were all set. is this weird?? has anyone else had this happen? i was nervous that maybe it won't be 'official' because we didn't get any of those questions...like if we want kids, live together, etc.

that comes later lol...Same thing with us, i didnt even go...Fh passed by one day picked up the application, brought it home...We filled it out and he went back a few days to drop it off...They called me two weeks later to say everything was confirmed...i asked what next, he said you have plenty of time for now...Only thing is 6 months before bring in baptismal certificate and also to set up pre-cana...That is when you will do everything, they will ask questions and you will take a foccus test

wow...I wish my meeting with the pastor was that easy! We got the third degree from him. He even told my FH and I that we were living in sin. Youre lucky that theyre so laid back!!

Re: meeting with priest
Our priest asked us questions when we went to officially book the church. But I know that the questions get more in depth during pre-cana.
Don't worry, I'm sure it's official even if he didn't ask you a lot of questions - just wait until pre-cana!

hahha thanks - i just like to be reassured. i get nervous that things will fall through - i've had 'Wedding nightmares' where it's the day of, and nothing is done, and no one cares that it's not done. it's so weird...it's happened a few times!
