Meeting with Priest friday!!! I may finally have my church!! Have a question though...

Hi Ladies! I finally found a church that I like and the parish is so friendly! I have a meeting on friday and would like to know how your experiences went. What questions were you asked? What paperwork is required? Im a little nervous lol. I dont know what to expect. TIA

we needed to show proof of our sacraments,and then we both had to answer this questionarre with strange questions such as do u swear u r not brother and sister lol.then we had to sign an oath and have another one brought back that was witnessed and signed by a notary.then he talked about marriage and explained what pre cana was but it ws all great..dont be nervous u will be fine..hth

Honestly our meeting with the priest was a piece of cake! He didn't ask us much at all.. I was soo nervous he wouldn't marry us because we live together but luckily he will! He was like 'you know the church frowns on you living together before marriage' but other than that he was super nice and understanding of our situation.

You have to show proof of baptism and confirmation if Catholic. But the papers have to be dated w/in 6 months of the wedding. If you go to another church, you may need a letter from that church as well.
