Can anyone tell me what to expect? What kind of questions he'll ask? Anything we should make sure we ask?

Re: meeting with priest tonight...
when we went it was very relaxed. Just why are you marring this person and are you coming here on your own. Like he is not focring you to be there. The one thing that we didn't know was going to happen was he asked each of us questions (I can't remember what about....nothing crazy) but the other person had to leave.

I remember being so nervous before our first meeting, but really you have nothing to worry about!
You will choose your date and time and fill out some paperwork together. My FH is not Catholic, so for us it was slightly more involved, but for the most part the forms are very basic - name, address, parent's info, where you received your sacraments, etc. He is required to ask you several questions such as are you entering this marriage of your own free will, is there any reason you should not be able to consummate your marriage, do you plan to have children and will you do your best to teach your children the teachings of the Church, etc. He'll probably discuss with you how to go about getting your marriage license, setting up pre-cana, making arrangements for your ceremony music, etc.
If you have any other questions, feel free to FM me, and good luck!

Besides the above mentioned info. I would ask about their policies re: Flowers (some churches request that you leave them there) Aisle runners, unity candle, petals or bird seed (if you want these types of things) Musicians: does church provide and at what cost
Also, tell them if you're having any outside people participate. For example, our friend is a priest and he married us--- we had to clear that with the church. We also had other friends be our musicians, altar servers and Eucharistic ministers... if this applies to you, you need to clear it with them so they don't schedule those things for you with the people from the parish staff that normally do those things.

Re: meeting with priest tonight...
heres an update..... They said they wouldn't marry us bc it's a Thursday. I'm so upset! I've spent the whole day now calling around churches to see if anyone will marry us on a Thursday. I don't understand... I know a few people who got married during the week (thursday or monday). Uhhh... any ideas ladies??
