Did they call you or do you call them? Which vendors did you have to call?

For what? Any follow up questions or concerns? For any questions I had I would obviously contact them, and visa versa.
Once I was about... 2 1/2 months before I would get contacted by the florist to make an appt. to see sample centerpiece, 6 weeks before I was mailed paperwork for my DJ and will be seeing them 3 weeks before the wedding, limo contacted me this week (6 weeks before) letting me know another payment was due, RH contacted me 2 months before to set up tasting and menu apt, photo called 2 months before advising me to fill out paperwork for them.

To go over the specifics - picking out the exact flowers with the florist, must play list for DJ...

a combo of both. our band contacted us as did our officiant.
i had better ideas for my flowers so i contacted my florist and then she contacted me to set up final appointments where she'll have samples.

They all called us - officiant, florist, dj, photo, RH - we kinda just sat back and let people take the initiative - all our vendors are right on top of everything!
