do you look for a high one? like 6.1 ? You guys are making me jealous I want a new one, but I also want to get one of those portable printers as well.

Depends on what you are going to use it for.

If you are just going to take photos of family, friends, trips, etc, you don't really need a 6 megapixel camera.

If you are looking to do professional photography (like blow up and print your photos and sell them, then the higher the megapixels the better).

I just bought my mom a 3 megapixel camera, and it is more than enough for what she is going to use it for.
