FH & I will have all the money to pay off the reception hall in about a week. We really want to just send them a check. My dad says we shouldn't pay it off this early because if they do something bad, it's already paid for and we can't do anything.
However, we really want to pay it. It would be so nice to just pay for each vendor one at a time, instead of having to worry about coming up with this huge bulk sum. We just want to start paying everyone off... I know in the end it's the same money, but it would be such a relief to pay it off...
What do you think?

Re: mehh
Pay it off...leave a small balance. Who wants to carry around all that cash the day of? PS your contract with RH should cover any F-Ups on their part.

Re: mehh
I would pay most of it off now. Leave like $1000 to pay at the end

Re: mehh
i woudln't pay it now ... why should they get interest off of that money?!
plus, who knows what could happen that would make you need this money (your car breaks down and you need $$$ to fix it, for example)
keep it in the bank and only make the minimum payments is what i say

Re: mehh
You'd have to pay it all in advance anyway, not the day of. Most halls require final payment like a week or so before.

I wouldn't pay it off - as someone else said, why should they make interest off of your money!
