Has anyone been to the Melia Caribe? We are looking into it for our 1 year anniversary. We went to the Paradisus (same company) in Mexico and LOVED it.

We stayed there in May. It's a beautiful hotel. The people were nice and everybody spoke English. The food was good. But do not drink the water or any salad. I did and I got very sick. Have fun.

i went there last year. the food was awsome. it is a very big resort. we had ocean veiw rooms. i highly reccomend it. we would go back again.

Danielle and I recently came back from Punta Cana. We stayed at Sunscape the Beach. The resort was beautiful - the food was average though. We heard that Secrets excellence is the resort to go to in Punta Cana. The people that we spoke to said it was an amazing resort, and it is adult only. Sunscape, the beach wasnt. Check out trip advisors forums...You will learn a lot there.
Dont forget to take Acidiphilious if you are planning to go there. You need to take one pill before each meal. It will prevent you from getting sick from the food in Punta Cana. You will need to brush your teeth with bottled water, which the resort will usually give you in your stocked mini bar in your room. The water in the restaurants and bars are usually bottled water. I know they used bottled water at the resort I was at Scott
