Melville Marriott

I am planning on staying in a hotel the night before my wedding and was looking for reviews of the Marriott. In particular did anyone have a suite and have their getting ready photos taken there. Also how did your OOT guest like it and do they work with you on transportation to the reception for your guest. Did anyone have a day after brunch there?

Thanks

My sis in law stayed there. We took the pictures right outside the suite w/ the glass ceiling behind us. They came out very pretty! --kelly

i am having my oot guests stay here and I went to see it the other day and was very impressed. It is really nice. I did not look at the rooms though. I am having a day after brunch there and saw the room for it which is nice. They have great options for the brunch. They recommended someone for transportation but do not provide it. I am working with Ilene Millman. I know someone who had their wedding there for 650 people so I have to assume it was very accomodating. It is known to have conferences there all the time.

I was considering the same thing.....I am only having the reception at crest hollow but i dont want to get ready at my parents house cause its really old and dark....i would love to get ready at a nice hotel suite with my BP and have gorgeous pictures and not worry about my dog's hair getting all over everything!!!

The only thing you have to watch is the noise level. My DH stayed there the night before our wedding and could not get to sleep. There was a party in the ballroom and the atrium and it gets very loud. Ask for a room along the outside of the hotel instead of facing the atrium. Otherwise, very nice place!

We had our room block there for our OOT guests and we had a HUGE suite which was perfect for all of us getting reading together the morning of the wedding. Unfortunately, since the weather was really bad that morning - we took before pics there too. Haven't gotten my proofs yet, but the Marriott was cool. We also had a brunch the next morning.
Melville Marriott is definitely a good choice. Only negative is that there is no transportation.
