I have one candle for my mom. After the ceremony, I want it placed on my table.
You can put it anywhere you want to. No set rule.

some put it on a separate table... or near the place cards..

We had a seperate table right next to our dais. We had 4 memory candles and pictures, along with four chairs. Many people walked up to it, said a prayer, or just smiled. It was the perfect touch.
