Memorial Candle

How many of you girls are having memorial candles?

If you are, are you listing all loved ones that have passed away?

In 2005 I lost my older brother in a motorcycle accident, I miss him so much - I feel like the whole wedding isn't complete because he isn't here

would it be ok to have a candle just for him? I guess I am just worried - because FH and I have lost both sets of Grandparents, he recently lost a great Aunt and in 2001 I lost an Uncle - should I include all of them? Or can I just have one for my brother - I hope this is making sense...I mean I miss everyone that we have lost and wish they could all be here for our special day - but I don't think I want a table of memorial candles - I am just at a lost for what to do ... and FH is no help.... I just want to make sure it would be ok to just have one for my brother, I mean I just wish so bad he could be there so I would really want him remembered in some way ...

Also - BOK charms - who is using them and where did you get them?

Someone help me .... TIA!!! Sorry this turned out to be longer than I thought haha

Re: Memorial Candle

i would do one for your brother and one for everyone else, if you think people would get offended you could do one with a poem and list all their names here is a website that does that,
http://myweddingreceptionideas.com/personalized_in_loving_memory_glass_candle_holder.asp

it allows you to insert up to 7 names or custom text.

I am using a BO K charm- you can get them on etsy.com. A lot of designers on there will size the picture and make the whole thing for you.

As for unity candles...I am having them also. I just lost my grandparents last summer from cancer . They were a second set of parents and lived with us our whole lives. It was devestating and the day wont be complete without them there either...

FH lost his grandfather last year also and his grandmother on his other parents side when he was a child.

I am putting my grandparents on one since they were married and then I am having 2 small skinny vases ( 1 for FH grandpa and 1 for FH grandma). They have them at exclusively weddings.com and I Think its very nice looking..I will put the candle in center then the 2 vases with a rose on both sides of it...

Maybe you can do that for your wedding...your brother can be the candle then you can have FHs grandparents on one vase and your uncle on the other? I dont think great aunts and uncles is necessary. Not that they werent loved and special but I dont think you should feel that you need to do it for great aunts and uncles and cousins etc...if you WANTED to include them thats one thing but I dont think that you should feel like you HAVE to

if you wanted to include great aunt you can put it on the vase with your uncle...so you can have the candle in middle and 2 vases one on each side..i think it will look very pretty and its not a whole table of candles....

We had one candle for both our dads and pics of our dads. Maybe do one candle and have pics of each person gathered around it with a floral arrangement?

I think you can do memory candles however you want. If you honor your brother and not your grandparents, that's ok but I wouldn't do one for your brother and one for one grandparent and that would be weird
