Memorial Candle problem

ok.. my grandfather (poppy) & grandmother (nanna) on my mom's side are both deceased. i was very close with them..more so with my Nanna who lived longer. i was probably the closest to her out of our whole family.

my grandfather on my dad's side is deceased. wasn't as close with him really. his wife- my grandmother- is still alive..too bad she is EVIL!!! haha!

anyway...FH only has one living gma as well and...she is also EVIL! haha!

but the grandparents of his that are deceased...he wasnt close with them and some of them his fam & him didnt get along with!

(i swear my story has a point to it...its coming real soon....)

so obviously i want to honor my gparents, esp my Nanna at our wedding with a memorial candle...at both the mass & ceremony.. i cant imagine NOT having a special tribute to them (esp Her!)

however, since FH does not feel the same about his g-parents...he doesnt want that for them.

soooo...my question is...what do i do?!?!??!

i cant have a tribute to my fam and just forget about his can i???

urgghhhhh!!!!!

I had a similar problem... lots of deceased grandparents and uncles betweent he 2 of use, but some we were not so close to... but instead of leaving anyone out I just made a general memorial candle that says something like 'in loving memory of loved ones who could not be with us today' or something. I was really close to my mom's parents (especially my nanny since she lived longer than my popop) so I was thinking displaying their wedding picture by the candle.... The only one FH would want to pay tribute to would be his uncle who passed away 2 years ago but he's not really into the whole memorial candle thing because he's afraid his mom and aunts will get upset, so he probably won't wanna display a picture of him...

We did a frame of all our deceased family both mine and FH's and I made a memorial candle myself with the quote 'If I could have a rose for every time I thought about you, Id walk through a garden forever'

You could do what I am doing to honor my mother. We are using this vase, because then there is no particular name on it, but I know who I am honoring, plus then my FH can think of it as for his grandparents too. After the wedding, we are always gonna keep fresh flowers in it.

Instead of a candle how about using a bouquet jewelry in the shape of a picture frame and put a small picture of your grandmother?

I am only honoring my mom, who passed away three years ago.
All of our grandparents are deceases, as well as numerous aunts & uncles.

Have a general memorial candle, but honor your grandmother especially with a small picture on your bo-k. I ordered small ornament frames from Exposures. I ordered one from a wedding catalogue J..M, but it was real cheap looking.
