Memorial Poem?

Memorial Poem?

I'm having a memorial table at my wedding and was wondering if anyone had a nice poem to put on the table? I was thinking of typing it up myself on nice paper and putting it in a frame.

Thanks!

aww that's a really sweet idea. My uncle is a priest and will be conducting our wedding ceremony, so I think he's going to say a few words at the church and also during the blessing at the RH. Let us know if you find a good one though!

Re: Memorial Poem?

Someone just posted these 3. I love them all, but I think I might go with the third.

We thought of you with love today,

but that is nothing new

We thought of you yesterday,

and the days before that too

You're forever in our hearts and minds

and though you can't be here today

we've saved a chair for you.

OR

If roses grow in Heaven,

Lord please pick a bunch for me,

Place them in my mother's arms

And tell her they are from me.

Tell her I love her and I miss her,

And when she turns to smile,

Place a kiss upon her cheek.

And hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy,

I do it every day.

But there's an ache in my heart

That will never go away.

OR
Though your smile is gone forever,

and your hands we cannot touch,

Still we have so many memories,

Of the ones we loved so much

Your memory is our keepsake,

With which we'll never part,

God has you in his keeping, We have you in our hearts

although we cannot see you

We know that you are here

Smiling down, watching over us

As we say 'I DO'

forever in our hearts

Forever in our lives

and so we say our vows

In loving memory of you
