Anyone doing a memorial table to display photos of loved ones who passed on?
Im doing it, I think - FH seems to think it's morbid ....although I did present it to him as the 'death table idea'
Was thinking, ornately framed photos, and bouquet and maybe a framed quote would be nice.
OPINIONS?

Re: Memorium Table??
I'm doing a memory candel. . .and maybe a photo of my two grandfathers who passed. FH doesn't want it morbid either, so I figured the candel and a picture each was enough.

Well that's why FH didn't want it, because there would be a table full of deceased, his side and mine. That would of been too much, I agree with him on that. The memory candel is always nice. .and maybe a few pictures with you in them

I think its a bit much doing the table, but also a nice touch, but be careful, remember its your wedding day and its a fun festive occassion and some people take those pictures to heart and get very upset seeing them. I was doing one, but have later decided to remove it all the way. It was for my sister and dad, they both passed away. I personally would we upset, and I know many others would would be too, so we took it out.

if anything, i would do a candle with a poem and their names at the end of the poem. a table full of pictures of dead people seems a bit morbid.

I also think it is a little morbid. My father, all my grandparents, two of my very good friends and 3 of FH's grandparents have passed away. I know that they will be there in spirit and I wouldn't want to make anyone upset by displaying their photos. I think a poem for those who have passed in the program is a nice touch, but the reception should be festive!

I am thinking of doing something. My father passed away 11 years ago. I want it to be nice not sad and or upsetting. I just need to really think.

I think doing a whole table just for that is a bit much. Its supposed to be a happy time and you want them remembered on your wedding day but some people may get upset or even be offended by it. I would give it another thought, maybe do a candle with their names on it
