Memory Candle

Memory Candle

I'd like to do a memory candle but I was wondering:

1) Is it for the ceremony or reception?
2) Do you light it or is it just on display?
3) I can put a few names on 1 candle, correct?

and anything else I might need to know...

we are having a memorial candle for FH's dad who passed awya when he was 8. We are lighting it at the church and it will be mentioned in the program. there will also be a candle at the reception with a picture and flowers, but it will already be lit when we get there. we are also putting a single white rose in a bud vase on FH mom's table in memory of her husband.
