Memory Candle Question

Memory Candle Question

Hi Girls,

I'm making my memory candle and from info I have gathered from the boards this what I think I have to do:

Get vellum and print on it
Wrap the vellum around the candle and attach it with either glue gun, double sided tape, pins, stapler?

Here is my question:
What happens to the vellum as the candle burns? Does the it burn or melt with the candle?

TIA

Re: Memory Candle Question

I made my memory candle. The candle didn't burn long enough to get down to the vellum. If you only use it for the service, you'll have nothing to worry about.

ETA: Hi FARA!! I just noticed that it was you. Happy wedding planning!! Do you have the memory candle poem? If not, let me know. I have it.

lol, it's me!

Yes, I would love the poem. So is that all I do is print on the vellum? What did you use to attach it?

Thanks
Fara

I used a glue gun and hid the seam with a ribbon, but I think you could just use invisible tape. Then I trimmed off the top and bottom with a ribbon.

Here is the poem:

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on
Cherished memories never fade
Because one loved is gone
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart
For as long as there's a memory
They live on in our heart.

This candle is in loving memory of our family members who could not be with us today.
