So I want to do something very different and unique for my e-party. My mom passed away 7 years ago and I want to incorporate her into the party, with a memorial table or something else..need ideas please.
I lost my mom nine years ago this November to cancer, so I absolutely sympathize. My MOH suggested doing a candle in a hurricane vase at the ceremony. But, I'm unsure how I feel about this. I was thinking of something more private. For example, wearing my mom's necklace. The one thing FH and I are doing is a donation to the American Cancer Society in her name, so that's really the only public part. I think it depends on what you feel comfortable with for both the e-party and wedding.
i think the candle in the hurricane vase is a great idea. then you can have it in your home or apartment after. maybe get her name etched into the glass. i have also heard of people leaving a seat empty for a person who has passed on.
Im so sorry...... i like the memory table. I would put her wedding picture up and a great pic of you and your mom maybe also a special poem that you can print on translucent paper and put on a candle. just some ideas
There was a girl a few weeks ago who did a slide show of her father....I cried. It was so beautiful and she did an amazing job. Try doing a search for it, she might be able to help you out with it.
the slide show, memory candle, and leaving a seat empty are all great ideas.
