Why are they so protective of this stuff? I asked FH to bring a decent set of tools to the new place because he is going away the DAY AFTER WE MOVE and I may need them to put things together. He has to remind me that they are VERY EXPENSIVE (DUH Leslie - MAN THINGS GOOD! GIRL THINGS BAD - DUH) I don't get it. What does he think I am going to do with them. Make a windchime?

Re: MEN AND THEIR TOOLS
My FI is the same way about his power drill. How much damage can really be done to a tool! C'mon now.

God it's so obvious that you would throw them all into a 10 foot high blazing inferno and melt them all so you can make a huge container for all of your shoes.
Did I say that outloud?

Well, actually...funny windchime story...my PhD advisor is a tool freak, and he made windchimes for his wedding and ended up losing a finger!
ETA: I guess it's not really funny, but it sort of is, because it's the second finger he's lost.

Maybe we should hand out socket wrenches as our favors?

Have you been talking to my FH? He thinks there should be a girl favor and a boy favor.

Re: MEN AND THEIR TOOLS
My FH doesn't have any tools either- I brought all the tools for our new apartmet- a hammer and power screw driver- and then he has the nerve to make fun of me!
