Men are so cute sometimes....... (snow related)

My poor hubby knows how I feel about my car (love doesn’t come close to it, but obsessed does). So he got dressed and out the door early to make sure my baby was warmed up properly before we left.

He was gone about 10mins and I was ready to leave when he comes BACK into the room and says “I can’t open the door”. I go with him to find our doors are frozen shut. Unlocked but frozen shut. He can’t pull open the driver side or passenger side door. I should mention I drive a two door (rarely seen these days) and those doors are HEAVY.

I took one look at it and said “Where’s the snow brush?” and he says “I think it’s in the car.” Ok….. “Where’s the de-icer?” .. he says “In the car” (are we seeing a pattern here??). So he’s getting frustrated. Jimmy is NOT a friendly person to be around when he gets frustrated, so…. I say “What about the windshield wiper fluid?” Now he’s looking at me like I’m nuts, but I drive pretty sharply (Sports car driver, what can I say?) and the danged windshield wiper fluid kept flying around in the trunk so we took it out last night and put it in-doors. Now I’m thinking it’s de-icer wiper fluid so it should work right?

Poor Jim he comes back out with the fluid and just looks at me. I say “Just toss some on the car door” I mean how hard is this??? Gave it a few second and presto! Car doors open. Pull out the de-icer from the back seat and get the other door open and clean off the windows. Still can’t find the snowbrush.

Men are so cute. I just love how he looks at me like “what the heck made you think of FLUID as a solution to an ice problem?” heh

God I love him! Hehe

Further to the point of the car (ps, I’m the gear head between the two of us if you can’t tell) he wants to know why I am so upset we didn’t change the oil this past Saturday.

Correct if I’m wrong here but get this….
First, he was sick on Saturday, drugged up on Nyquil I spent the morning and most of the afternoon making sure he had fluids and was covered up while he slept. He got up around 4pm. So, NO, I couldn’t just leave him and go get my oil changed. I’m not like that.

Secondly, Yes, it is a big deal it wasn’t done LAST week. Because I knew it was going to get cold on Sunday and I wanted the car up to date, we need new windshield wipers too, ya know!

Lastly, No, I can’t just do it this week instead as Saturday is XMAS!!

Now he wants to see if I can do it on Friday because I’m off work early. Ahhh, what would he do without me?
