We went to the one in Melville and has a terrible experience - went to the one in Plainview and had a great experience - I think it depends on location

We went to the one in Bay Shore and had a great experience. The reps were helpful and very accomondating. But we also had 13 ppl, so I guess they saw the big bucks lol.

I really liked them bc we had 5 of the 10 groomsman out of state. And they can order from the MW by them, pick them up there and just return to the one in NY the day after the wedding. They put all the info in the system and just they just have to give the names when they go into to get measured and all the info is there already with what we wanted, so it makes things a lot easier.

Have had two friends who have had terrible experience with them. The first had her father walk her down the aisle with his jacket open because even after going back they gave him a tux that did not fit, the other had over half the tuxes not fit correctly. Check out this site, there are lots of postings about Mens Warehouse.

Re: Mens Warehouse

Bad experience. Measured incorrectly in the first place (way too big from what FI usually wears but he didn't say anything as he thought they might know better and he wears very fitted clothing anyway) and then even after that, a lot of the contents of the rental bag were different from what was ordered on the order slip. So it didn't matter anyway.

First everything was baggy,( which is a given since they measured way too big for him), then wrong shoe size, wrong type of shirt with wrong size, I forget what else but it was a lot and a hot mess. I don't know who filled the bag but they need new glasses or need to learn how to read properly - printout to some bag contents didn't match.
Just extra wedding stress that is not needed IMO. I wouldn't order there for a wedding but that's just my personal opinion. Thank god it wasn't for our wedding!!

We weren't impressed, although the salesman was a nice guy.

Dh and 2 GM's used the location in downtown Manhattan and had a good experience. My brother used the one in Brooklyn and had no issues as well.
I strongly recommend though that your party go in a day before they are to pick up in order to try them on. DH's pant leg was too short and they had to let them hem out, but then it was fine.
They didn't tell us when ordering to do this but when I called to make sure they came in. If there is something really wrong they can order and have a new tux shipped overnight.

Went to one in the bronx and it was bad. The lady didn't know anything. They just gave us a book and said pick one. You couldn't try on anything.

Re: Mens Warehouse

i think it depends on the one you go to, FH has had to rent from the one in Brooklyn - on Atlantic ave. to be exact, and it was HORRIBLE!!!! i actually had to fight with the guy to get him a tux that actually fit. he walked out of the dressing room looking like a little boy wearing his fathers clothes and man had the nerve to say 'thats how they wear them, he's fine' the whole time never once looking at me, but over me at the the rest of the people in the store. then when he came out in a tux that actually fit there was still a dirty tissue in the pocket and the collar was dirty on the shirt.... he had to bring the whole thing to the cleaners cause they didnt even clean it! it was horrible! the whole wp had a horrible time with that store. one of the guys even got the wrong style completely. luckily after calling the bride and telling her what we went through she called the rest of the boys and found out in enough time to fix his.

FH has had to rent from men's warehouse a few times, and only once has it not been a problem... i personally am NOT using them
if you do go with them, find out how the store that you will be using not the company itself

Re: Mens Warehouse

Once I found out that charge the same (179) for a 6 year olds ring bearer tux, I decided to look at other places, and definitely found way better prices...it's more convienent for people to use mens warehouse, and they know it and charge way more because of it!
