Menu choices

Menu choices

So, we did our food tasting last weekend, and I thought I knew what I wanted going into it, however, I was completely wrong! The only thing that remains certain is the Filet Mignon. My issue is, there is a pork chop that is on the menu and it was AMAZING!!! And I really want to to that in place of chicken, thing is, some people are giving me Crap for it... I want to do the Fliet Mignon, a shrimp/salmon combo, the pork chop and a vegetarian dish. Is this okay? I am concerned about the 'picky' eaters.... feedback please!!!!

You can't please everyone so do you want! As long as you have one veggie dish, I think you're fine.

Yeah I thought of that too but, it is possible that their may be a vegetarian so just in case I think it should be on there!

ITA...if you know the pork is delicious and there's an option for it at carving, I would do it there. People usually look for a meat, a chicken, a seafood, and a veggie at the very least.

I was at the tasting, and I became more confused. Everything was excellent (especially the Filet Mignon ) I couldn't decide on just three. Luckily My Dad wants to pay a little extra to have a fourth choice. The pork chop was amazing. People will make a decision no matter what, everything is SO good that they will def. find something and be happy!!!

Thanks everyone, I guess I cannot please everyone...and they will have a number of choices to pick from...hopefully everyone will be happy, if not, then oh well!

Re: Menu choices

You should tell them they have to include the vegetarian option outside of the allowed amount of choices you have... every place i looked at did it that way and we always asked bc FH is a vegetarian

I was there too. The filet is amazing and the salmon/shrimp combo great and I don't even like salmon.

The third choice is my problem too. I loved the pork, but half the reason was the risotto side. I mean the pork was amazing for pork, but its still just a pork chop. Everything was good so no matter what you choose people will love it. I think go with the dish you like. There is so much food, everyone will be fine.

What appetizer are you doing? I think were going for the tomatoe waffle thing. The mushroom in the phyllo was my favorite but that is something you have to be concerned about people not eating. A lot of people HATE mushrooms.

Good luck choosing.

I don't think she can, the vegetarian is an extra fourth entree. You really get to choose three and then get one vegetarian.

I know all of it was sooooo good I really cannot go wrong! As far as an appetizer, not really sure, I loved most of the combo plates, but I dont want to go that route...we want a salad and an app... even though it wasnt on the menu for the tasting, we are thinking of doing the pan seared scallops... not definite on that yet...Ive been too consumed with this chicken/pork issue...and yes I agree that risotto was amazing!

Re: Menu choices

We felt the same way but after the tasting decided on the combination. Figured everyone will be full from the cocktail hour anyhow. Judy said that people barely touch the appetizers anyhow because everyone is stuffed when they get into the ballroom, and it adds more dance time.

But the salad they served was excellent and the almond crusted cheese thing everyone was raving over (I don't like nuts). My dad also said the tuna was unbelievable.

You know I have to say the Caribbean Chicken was excellent and unusual. It wasn't to spicy and the mango sauce was fun. If people are giving you a hard time about not having chicken maybe thats a good way to go. But I personally agree with you about the pork chop.

Re: Menu choices

usually the vegitarian options are by order only so you dont have to have it on the menu... that way you can add a chicken or fish option
