Menu Help!

Menu Help!

So my RH gave us a option of salmon, tuna, or swordfish, as one of the choices for dinner.

Well, the woman said salmon is popular but it has a fishy taste, alot of people don't like the tuna cooked, so she suggested Swordfish. My FH thought this was so cool.

As anyone ever had swordfish??

I personally would go with the salmon. A lot of people might not get the swordfish because it is not a popular fish. JMO though.

That is what Im thinking! I guess we will see! My parents hate salmon, people at work hate it!

Oh well, can't please everyone. If they don't like it, they have 6 other choices to choose from.

IMO I would go with the swordfish. Salmon although delicious can be eithere fishy or dry. Tuna is good but many people will not eat it if not well done and most chefs won't cook it well done. Swordfish is delicious if made right. Why don't you buy yourself a piece at the store and try it. I use to think it was not a fish I would like and then I bought it and grilled it and it was amazing.

SDS - Exactly! That is what the women said about salmon.. she is like it is kinda fishy! The same thing about tuna! Maybe I should do that, although neither my FH or I eat fish, maybe my parents can try it. Im sure Villa Lombardis would make it awesome!

Thanks so much!

I've had lots of people telling me they don't like salmon, but it was sooo good at the tasting that we went for it anyway.

Trish, I wouldnt go with the salmon if she said it will taste fishy. . .. . there is nothing worst than fishy fish. Go with the swordfish. . . . I dont like salmon though so. . .

In my opinion, I've found that a lot of people don't like salmon and most won't eat tuna...especially since tuna is ideally only half-cooked. The swordfish would be great--it's a tasty and light fish.

Thanks girls! Val- the woman just said salmon is a fishy fish.

You girls have made my decision easier! Swordfish it is!

I was afraid that people might be afraid to taste it, but you know what, they have 6 other choices.

Thanks again!

I would go with swordfish! I love salmon, but got food poisioning from it once at a wedding and i've been afraid to eat it, at weddings anyway, ever since.

My dad would love to have swordfish as a choice. you don't see that at weddings too often! it's really good!

We didn't have it, it wasn't an option for us, but I loooove swordfish, and I would definitely choose it over salmon and tuna.

Re: Menu Help!

IMO I would go with the salmon. It's a popular choice and those that usually order salmon know what it should taste like. I don't know if the swordfish would be chosen by most who would usually choose the fish option.

Re: Menu Help!

I am a huge fish eater. FH is slowly getting into fish and he only likes fillet, salmon, and shrimp. Tuna is a difficult one especially with people worried with mercury level and cooking it just right. I recommend going with the salmon. If cooked correctly you won't be dealing with a fishy smell or taste. Then again that can be said about any fish.
