menu options???

Fh and I are getting response cards back now (actually tomorrow is our rsvp by date) and about 5 or 6 people from different parts of the country have contacted us or my mom asking where they make their dinner selection or if they need to write it in. I think this might be common in some places. A couple fo teh epople were in Maine, one from boston, one from seattle, and one from Ohio. And we tell all of them that you dont have to decide now, they ask you at the wedding and they all responded with some variation of 'ohhh your having a buffet!' I think most of them will think my cocktail hour is the dinner!

We actually had a guest from California who really did think the cocktail hour was dinner!

HaHa and here I thought that you always had to give a choice! I didn't realize that places didn't need to know how many of each ahead of time! I've never been to one where the dinner choice wasn't on the RSVP card... but I haven't been to many weddings.

My friends from out of town were astounded when they went to a wedding at Russo's. They thought the cocktail hour was the wedding.
Later that year, I went to her wedding in New Orleans and it was standing room only (no tables with chairs) and hor doerves....

weddings are different everywhere you go, as much as we are shocked by what people may say or ask, we should also remember that receptions vary.

It's funny, but they will be totally shocked to get a choice of their meal right there.
