Re: Menus
Depending on what you're offering. We're having menus b/c our guests are choosing from 7 different entree's. The entree's will only be listed on the menu, nothing else.

Re: Menus
No their not necessary, the waitstaff can tell your guests what their dinner choices are.

Re: Menus
I love the idea of menus because I have been to sooooo many weddings where the music is loud and you can't hear the waiter/waitress read what the choices are...I think the guests will love to be able to see what the choices are before the waiter/waitress gets to the table!!! It definitely saves time too!!!!
ETA:We are having 6 choices of entrees so it will be easier and faster for the waitstaff to take the orders!!

Re: Menus
I was leaning towards no b/c of extra time/expense...but would it be ok to do 1 or 2 menus for each table rather than for each person??? i think that sounds like a pretty good idea!

Re: Menus
Its not necessary, I think it is a nice touch but it is an optiional expense. I just hate when they come around like chicken, beef or seafood (thats not how I chose the menu, thats not how I want the meals represented) Up to you though!

Re: Menus
we did it and the guest went crazy over them. we pretty much did one per couple at the table. so figure 4 to 5 at each table
we had a choice of 6 entree's and also listed the other courses for the night, salad, appitzer, dessert...

Re: Menus
It's not necessary, but considering the noise, it would be easier for each guest to read all of their choices and other dinner items then to have to wait and try to hear the waitress/waiter.
Since they are so easy and cheap to make, I'm having 1 menu per seating.

It's not necessary, but I will be doing them. I think it adds a little something extra to make the table look nice and it's easier than trying to hear the waiter.

Same here, 1 per setting. They're actually going to double as our placecards too--we're having the calligrapher write everyone's names at the top of the menu.

Re: Menus
Menus aren't necessary, but I'd like to do one-per-guest for a couple of reasons: 1) there are 6 entrees guests can choose from; 2) my side of the family speaks mostly spanish, so I'd like to present dish descriptions in english & spanish.

They are not necessary, but we are having 6 dinners to choose from so we are going to make them on our own and then leave one at each place setting. We didnt want to wait staff to have to repeat themselves over and over
