Re: menus???
I did not know anything about making the menu's either. (Mine are in my album)
I made mine on Powerpoint. I used clip art for the picture. I saved it on a disk and had Staples print in on card stock for me. for 100 I think it cost about $80 - somewhere around there.

Re: menus???
In my opinion there is no right way to do the menu. It depends if you like it folded single sheet whatever you like. I am doing my menus with word as well, I just had to format the document to the size of my paper. I bought paper at paper presentation, which is precut; they have a great selection of colors and sizes but can be on the pricey side. Staples and office max also carry cardstock in different weights and colors. See my pictures of my menus, I tried two different ones, and I decided for the second sample.
We made ours in word and decided to just do a vertical half sheet of cardstock.
You can set the page to the appropriate width (if you are going to cut them in half) and then just it on out...
You can buy cardstock, look for the 67 lb weight paper or higher, from staples or office max or something, and feed it through your regular printer. All you need to do then is cut them in half or bring them to a staples type store and ask them to chop chop chop! Sometimes places like Kinkos have free paper cutters that you can do yourself.
