MENU'S???

DO you have to put menu's on the tables, i didn't know about this, do i make them or my RH does after we decide on the menu???


and do most RH have table numbers, i have to call on this????

Ask your RH if they provide menus (most do these days, but not all)...if they don't provide you could make your own, but you don't HAVE if you're ok with the waiters rattling off the menu choices

I would assume that table numbers are provided by the RH, but if you want to make fancier ones with photos, etc, then go for it

I think every RH will have some kind of table # ... we made our own b/c we wanted it to go with our color scheme.




Some (not all) RHs will print up a very basic menu for you if you want them to. They may only make a couple for each table. And they probably won't be anything fancy ... but they will get the job done. Or you can probably opt to not have any menus, and just let the waiters offer the options to the guests when they come around. We made ours to coordinate with our color scheme, we loved the look of having them at each place setting folded inside the napkin.




ETA: I would *definitely* suggest calling your hall to confirm what your options are on both questions ... better to be safe & know in advance, then to be surprised when it gets closer to your date and have to deal with it at the last minute.

not all of them do.....i have been to many weddign where there are no menus just the waitstaff telling you what you can pick from

I actually just learned this info last week...not all RH's provide menus once you choose your food...in fact from what I learned, few do...so when I called mine, they said they could either provide me with a template to make them if I would like, or I could make them on my own...or I could go with the other choice of having the waiter come around to each guest and say what they are serving...in the end, I think I have decided to make them...and I was up in the air about how...but if you check out Espo22(Denise's) post from yesterday about unique ideas...she posted one I loved for menus...the menu was circular and fit in the middle of the plate...thought it was so cute

MY RH would provide menus & table #'s if I wanted... I am doing them myself as I would like them to match my colors- & be personalized...

have you seen the menu at our hall yet ? i dont know if we should make our own ?

i think some RHs do provide them. Mine doesnt (well we could get them for $1 each or more)
So, needless to say- I'm making my own for about $20-$30 for 150. But its not required.

Im pretty sure all RHs have table #s. I am making my own also.

I loved the circular menu idea too, that fits in the plate. Just ask your rh first b/c i stopped by last night to measure the plate( lol,) and they told me that usually they already have the appetizer on the plate when guests walk in. they said they could just bring it out afterwards, but now I don't know

I LIKE THE ROUND MENU IDEAS TOO!

You don't have to do one unless you want to. Some RH may even provide one for each table. As far as numbers most RH's will have the standard plastic 'tent' numbers or the elevated metal holders with a number card instered in them.
