this may be a very dumb question...but does the reception house supply a menu card or do you have to make them yourself?? I know alot of people like to be creative so I was just wondering

It depends on the RH. My Hall does not provide us with menus.. They do provide us with the wording template but we are on our own for formatting and printing and design etc.
