Re: Menus
I don't think I would personally consider not doing any menu at all. Maybe not per person, but I would atleast, at the minimum, do 1 per table. It is usually loud at weddings and you probably will have a tough time hearing the choices when the menu speaks them out. Personally, I am doing either one per person or one per couple, haven't decided yet.

Re: Menus
We DIYed. It was a pain, but I really liked the added touch. But completely NOT necessary. What about DIYing one or two menus for each table and framing them. It's less work and still will look nice. Or if the RH provides them you can use theirs. Hardly anyone will notice the difference.

Re: Menus
Our hall supplies them which I was happy to find out! They won't match our invites or colors though, they will be on neutral card stock but whatevs, it saves some cash and time!

Re: Menus
We did them ourselves in MS word. Found a font that matched our invite.
Bought the paper (same weight as a file folder) and had it printed at Kinko's.
Our place would have charged us $1.00.@ 200. We DIY spent......$30?
You dont have to have them. It wont be loked on as weird.

Re: Menus
i've actually never been to a wedding where they had menus. i def think its an extra touch thats not really necessary at all. Also, the hall probably provides them so you should check with your BM

Re: Menus
Its def not a must have. I just like the idea of it. Been to so many weddings and I always felt bad for the servers who had to repeat themselves so many times. I don't always pay attention 100% either, music loud or chatting it up, so a menu is nice.
We ordered ours through an eBay vendor that also did our wine labels and door hangers. She charged like 40 cents each and it included shipping costs. She designed them, print, cut and shipped them. I thought it was so worth it.
