LOL! I hear this from my coworker every day ... bascially mercury is the planet (or god) that causes distress and confusion so when its in retrograde that is the worst time (astrologically) because it means that the planets are in a time of confuison and darkness, so it comes down to us feeling low, misunderstandings arise between couples or coworkers ... just basic confusion and miscommunication which can cause fights and problems
