That seems OK ( I think) who did you meet with? Was it with a well-known florist who does high-quality work? What kind of flowers are you getting? Are they out of season? What was the price of low vs. high centerpieces? All these things play a part (or so I've learned on LIW)
Right now my flower budget is 1.5k, but I'm not sure what it'll end up being...

only roses, and it was the PWP florist at Fox hollow.
Ivory and pink roses for me and MOH, Ivory for the bridesmaids and Boutonnières, Ivory roses in a square vase for the low, ivory roses with white branches and hanging votive candle holders for the high
Low was 85 each, high 115 each

Every time I see price quotes on here for florists I cringe! I cant believe how much flowers cost But the quote you got isnt bad, I dont think, esp. since you're getting roses which are supposed to be the most expensive!

i dont think the quote is bad at all...(but i am comparing this to a friend who spent 8000 on flowers...) Do you have to use PWP? can you look around see if you can get a better deal?

That seems to be about the quote I got from him. I've been researching a little and his prices are very REASONABLE!
I am going again to another florist to compare on Friday...I will let you know.

roses aren't the most expensive, its more expensive to have lilies and peonies
i had gone to one florist and for very simple arrangements for centerpieces and bouquets they gave me a quote of $3000

YOU COULD TRY BURTONS IN MELVILLE THEY ARE ALOT MORE REASONABLE THEY QUOTED ME $715 FOR : MY BOK, 2MOH, 5 BM BOK, 2 GROOM BOUT, 6 GM, 2 FATHER BOUTS, 3 MOTHER CORSAGE, 1 GRANDMOTHER CORSAGE, FG BASKET, 1 READER CORSAGE AND A THROW AWAY............NO CP'S BECAUSE I AM DOING MY OWN

i feel the exact same way!! i might not do floral centerpieces to cut back, plus i dont want anything to scent-y, my dads got breathing problems.

I am thinking about candles, the problem is I love roses, but I have a lot of allergies as well.
