what kind of stuff do you go over when you pick the menu? like what exactly happens? sorry might be a dumb question but just wondering if you have any options about what you pick or is it just going over what is in the book they give you?

i meet with anna the beginning of the month, she is a really nice lady... she goes over entire menu... and everyone in the bridal party, what your bring like cake topper, cutter... and if you want to hand out your favors or put them on the tables... names of all the vendors, and she does an est. breakdown of everything to show you an est. of how much everything is going to be!! its alot of info all at once.....

if you look in the book you'll see for each section of the menu give from cocktail hour to reception there are choices. For example for CH they give you a long list of things and its a few pages. For example they'll have the pasta station listed and they give you about 6 choices and it says on top that its your choice of 2. Then the hot chafing dishes, its broken down to meat, chicken, fish and vegetables. Theres about 10-11 choices under meat, 5 choices under chicken, 8 choices for seafood and 6 choices for vegetables, so in total its about 29-30 choices all combined and you pick 10 out of all those that you want, doesnt matter how many of meat, seafood, chicken or vegetables you pick whatever 10 you want.

Even with the dinner menu, they give you pasta dishes and theres 3 but you pick 1, same for the salad theres 3 you pick 1, appetizers theres 3 and you pick 1.

yeah it would help...FH and i picked everything right after we booked when we got home and looked at all the choices hahaha. We marked them in the book but telling the rh when we go for the final meeting lol

i thought when you go for the meeting you can play around with what your getting for CH lik even substitute with things that arent in the book - like spanish foods for example....or no? i dont know ive never dont this before and what if you want family style during dinner? like family style rice and veggies? or no?

Your right. They told me that at the meeting you can review a sheet with recommended alternatives for Spanish food & other international cuisine. I have a couple of things in my head that I want to add!!

yes you can make substitutions for things you want that are not listed. For example if its a chafing dish lets just say for CH that you want to request then you'll pick 9 of the choices listed and the 10th use as the choice you want.

i am not sure about the family style thing bc dont know what JT does in regards to that and since im not doing it, i didnt ask sorry. BUT for my e-party FH special requested brocolli rabe along with everything else they were having and they put that family style on the table so definitely let them know. BUt yeah the things i wrote in the other post were just a few examples of what you pick. But any concerns you have, any suggestions or whatever, you talk about it then.
