So far, I'm not entirely thrilled. I met with the Flower Petaler in Huntington (regular florist, not wedding flower specialist) because my friend works there. The owner of the shop told me that if I wanted centerpieces in silver-tone bowls they would be $15-$20 more than a centerpiece in a glass bowl. HUH? I really don't understand why plastic is more expensive than glass. Has anybody heard this before?
Also met with Burtons. Liked the any flower one price. Also liked the woman I met with - Jill. She listened to what I had to say, and showed me a wide variety of flowers that come in the colors I'm looking for. But something was missing. Don't know what.
I have two more appointments. One with the florist my sister used, the other with Flower Michele.
Besides National Wholesale Flower, (thank you Christine) Flowers by Brian, (if they call me one more time I will change my phone number!!!) and the two expensive ones (Spitz & Peck and James Cress) can anyone recommend other florists for me to check.

I used Atlantic Floral in Freeport. I was thrilled.
I also recommend Lynn from Florisan. Very nice and accommodating.

Masters & Co. in rockville centre. laurie beat NFW, burtons and flower michelle by several hundred $$$ and threw in an amazing amount of free flowers. i'm so glad i found her!

wanted to add we loved john from burtons. we were quoted a great price. and when i asked about cp's, he said we'll aren't they included in your hall? you don't need them, save your money. WHAT? i never expected a vendor to say that to me. thats what sealed the deal for me
