Met with Photog last night

So we went to this pretty popular place on SI for photgraphy last night. They have a great reputation so I figured I would check them out

Any everyone seemed right. We felt so comfortable and there were so many options
The guy we met with was amazing ! and funny ...and defin will be easy to work with

Of course I cannot give myself a break and I have to pick prob the most expensive package.

I absolutely love the photojournalism and the digital albums ...

so the package has everything but the right price! I almost fell over when he said how much it was


I dont know what to do
Not all the money is due before the wedding ....they give u up to two months after the wedding to pay which is great ...but I dont know if I'm gettng ripped off or not ...

THERE IS a photographer that alot of ppl use, when i heard what they were trying to charge this one girl i was like ...it was MORE than celebrity photographers who shoot weddings for the biggest names and i know bc i looked it up, i was like you got to be kidding me. Sometimes these local places get popular within the neighborhood and it goes to their heads. Not sure if this is the case with this photographer...but if you want you can FM me with prices and what you are getting.

I felt the same way you did. Our photgrapher is highly reccomended from our RH. All of the pictures arond our RH were taken by this photography place. We had a feeling it was going to be a bit expenisve, but when we saw the price, I almost fell out of my chair. Of course we didn't want the basic package, we wanted the digital album, 2 photgraphers, etc. I called a few friends when I left and it turns out that the price is pretty average. Needless to say, we booked b/c we loved their work.

i think the thing is that alot of ppl don't realize what albums cost...this was the only part of the wedding planning that surprised me when it came to prices is albums...For digital albums were talking upper hundreds and thousands for an album...plus if you do have 2 photographers you have to remember it will be more.

we havent booked yet ...I am meeting with their videographer next week and we'll see how that goes...

I am thinking i am going to have to get two more jobs!

Yeah, the same package with one photographer was 2k less. Also, I talked him down about $500.00. So i got him to add in the digital album for $500 rather than $1,000. We decided that the photographer was going to be one of the most important vendors because essentially, that are capturing your day and we thought it was worth it.

lol! thanks... I never accept the first price. Everything is negotiable! It doesn't hurt to ask, worst case scenerio is that they say no!

My sister used a photographer in Staten Island..she used Romeo Creations..they were great!
