Re: Metabolife
I took it 3 years ago and lost 15lbs QUICK....but I wouldn't do it again knowing the dangers.... It made me so jittery and I got headaches from it too....
I just go the safe route now...Diet and exercise~

Re: Metabolife
Thanks for all the feedback. I just started taking metabolife recently and I have no side effects. Then again, I'm taking half the recommended dosage. My only complaint is that it totally kills my appetite. I can eat breakfast and lunch but when dinner rolls around...I don't even want to look at food. I had wanted to know if anyone had bad side effects because I'm worried that I'll get hit with them later.
I'm determined to lose weight. I almost cried when I went to look for bridal gowns. I'm normally a size 14/16 in dresses and I was measured and told I would need a size 20 dress!! My mom thinks they want to order a large size so they can go crazy on the alterations. *I* think I need to get my butt in shape.
I've enlisted *three* coworkers to go to the gym with me. I bought a pair of rollerblades to go skating with FI.
OK, enough of my rambling...

Re: Metabolife
When I worked for the OB/GYN, he told me that he is convinced that metabolife (as well as some others but especially this one) interferes wtih birth control, and has seen many women become pregnant. Not a risk I am willing to take on top of the million other side effects.

Don't worry about the size gown that they're ordering for you! Bridal gowns (for some insane reason) notoriously run smaller. I'm normally an 8/10 and i think they orderes a 12 or 14 for me! This is the one time that size does not matter!
Good luck losing though! I'm right there with you!

Re: Metabolife
Your absolutely right those gowns run small, and that even varies by company. I tried on 10 different dresses in a size 10, and some were so small I couldnt even BEGIN to zip the back up, some were a little snug, and some fit me. Dont worry about the #, you will find a dress that looks gorgous on you!

Re: Metabolife
I'm the same as palebride - normally a size 8/10, tried on dresses in a 14.
I actually had to get a 16 dress and have it altered but only because they couldn't get me a 14 in time, and I LOVED the dress.
