Metamorphosis makeup? Anyone using them or have opinions on their work?
I met someone from metamorphosis this weekend at the bridal expo and they seem professional, but I have yet to find many reviews of them on here... any ideas on how they are??

I haven't used them and was thinking of asking the same thing.I do like the option that they have the girl follow you around all night to touch up.. but is that worth the extra money? You could always buy the lipstick and do it yourself. I've gotten my makeup done for other weddings and it has lasted the entire night (other than lips of course).

Re: Metamorphosis makeup? Anyone using them or have opinions on their work?
I hear you! I am kind of clueless as to what a decent price for makeup is. I have never had mine done, I always do my own and it comes out good because I use bare minerals, but it is WEDDING DAY, really don't want to deal with doing it myself!I like all the options the have as well. Hmmmm hopefully someone who's used them have some feedback

Re: Metamorphosis makeup? Anyone using them or have opinions on their work?
I saw them at a Bridal Expo show a while ago and I wasn't necessarily in love with the make up artist's make up. I don't know if she had the wrong color of foundation, but her make up made her look fake.I decided to still speak with her about their make up and...silly me got caught up on the whole 'let's set up an appointment' approach they had and after she gave me a handout, I realized that it was a trial and it was going to cost me a pretty penny.
I called her back that same week and told her that I am not interested, but she still keeps calling and annoying me..she is so pushy!
They may be a good vendor, I just don't appreciate their pushy tactic.

Oh- I forgot to say that although I don't remember their prices now, I remember thinking that their services are a little expensive/pricey for simply make up (as opposed to makeup AND hair).

I met them also at an expo and made an appt for a trial and the girl never showed up or called to cancel or reschedule with me. I called her a left her a few messages but she never returned them. Not to say this is how the company operates, this was just one consultant.I dont think its worth the money to have someone follow you around all night. My make up artist is giving me a travel kit with lipstick, blotting pads and powder.

Re: Metamorphosis makeup? Anyone using them or have opinions on their work?
I met with them at an expo and made an 'appointment' not realizing it was a trial and she charged me for not only the trial but for a skin analysis as well (i didnt ask for an analysis) I paid for the trial unwillingly bc I didnt even want an appointment but didnt know better bc it was early on in the planning but I refused to pay the skin analysis.......the makeup made me look like a clown and then fh was not impressed either

Re: Metamorphosis makeup? Anyone using them or have opinions on their work?
I went to a bridal show and they were extremely pushy! But then.. I went to the bridal show at Fox Hollow and they were the exact opposite! They were informative while also being completely pleasant. The two girls I spoke to actually made me want to take a look at the company.. and I had tried to duck to avoid them in the past.Does anybody have an alternate suggestion. maybe slightly less expensive pricing?

Re: Metamorphosis makeup? Anyone using them or have opinions on their work?
I saw them at a bridal show and found that they were very pushy. I said that I was not having my makeup professionally done (I did it myself), but they kept pushing me to make an appointment. I said that if I did make one, I would have to check my planner and call them at a later time. Yet they still kept pushing me!Those kind of tactics always turn me off.

Re: Metamorphosis makeup? Anyone using them or have opinions on their work?
I know I'm a little late on this topic but I received a trial with them and I'm hoping to help other brides who may google this company. They were terrible! On weddingwire all their reviews are positive and it's so clear they had their employees write them all. They were SUPER expensive. I was quoted over $500 for trial plus day of makeup plus tip. It was ridiculous. Also, the makeup artist I had did not even listen to what I was telling her! She just did her own thing and after 2 hours of taking more and more makeup off she finally kind of got it right...but not worth it at all. I was mad I wasted my money on the trial.
I have also heard from other brides that they go to a lot of bridal expos then offer to do a free trial, but it's not really free. So beware of this company!!

Hey ladies! I actually had the same experience with meeting the artist at a showcase...I walked away and somehow had a trial booked! I decided to keep it, because it was for the day of my engagement party, so I figured that even if it wasn't great, at least I would have it done for the party. I did have a very good experience with my artist, she was super sweet, and my makeup looked very good. It also lasted through 90 degree heat at a BBQ, so I have to give her props! Anyway, I am only nervous because I really haven't seen any other reviews for her and it makes me second-guess my decision :( Would anyone be willing to share who they had good OR bad experience with, I would love if you could send me a message.

Re: Metamorphosis makeup? Anyone using them or have opinions on their work?
Hey! Just wanted to inform you that I have researched and dealt with Metamorphosis directly. I am a makeup artist out of Long Island and I have learned that with this company, it's all about finding the artist you are most comfortable with. What you see from one artist is not to reflect the company because these artists are very different on a case by case basis. I wish I could tell you that you can go to a company and take whatever artist you get and know it will be a great experience, but such is not the case in the world of makeup artistry. You will not receive the same results from every MAC artist, every Bobbi Brown artist, every artist from any given group. The results vary from person to person. That being said, it is simply that you must find a makeup artist that you are comfortable and happy with. If you have met a Meta artist that you greatly dislike, whether it be their pushy marketing tactics or their makeup application, you may still be pleasantly surprised by another Meta artist. If you like what you see from an artist, I suggest sticking to them, because you've already seen what they are capable of achieving and what you see is normally what you get.
One thing to leave you with... A great makeup artist LISTENS. They do not push because they understand it is YOUR day and YOUR decision, and nothing should be pushed onto the bride, as things are only more confusing this way. Also, you should not be misled but rather always thoroughly informed, especially of any money to be paid for a trial, appointment, consultation, skin analysis... whatever you want to call it.
For anyone who is looking or really just has questions about wedding makeup, you may contact me at 516-507-8667. My name is Felicia and it would be my pleasure to help anyone who has dealt with more than need be in something that is supposed to be a fun and exciting experience.
