I met w/ Metro Floral this week and got a decent quote for flowers. I had a really nice meeting w/ them and they totally got my vision of what I wanted.
My only problem is that the prices are the same as the quote I got from Flowers by Brian.
I know FBB does great work, but I have 2 questions:
1- does FBB discount prices if you offer to pay them in cash instead of check./credit card?
2- how is Metro Floral in general compared to FBB. Can anyone who's had MF seen, heard or experienced any negative experiences at all?
So far I havent heard anything negative about FBB which is awesome..but Metro Floral isn't an LIW vendor (in fact, they gave me a blank look when I mentioned the site! ) but anyone know?

Which location did you go to? I went to the one in Astoria and had a horrible experience. The guy didn't even remember we booked an appointment and didn't have anything prepared. He could care less what I was saying. It was literally 5 minutes and I walked out cause he stared at me like a deer in headlights. So on that note that's a no from me. I also read a lot of bad reviews on yelp etc. Two people recommended them so I was disappointed when I went. Maybe you had a better experience. I have an appointment with FBB soon.

I really dont know anything about either...but I would tell FBB you are torn and see if they can go down on price

i used fbb and LOVED them! i do know that unfortunately you dont get a discount if you pay cash. acutally your final payment HAS to be cash. i dont know what they are like in comparison to metro but i know that most girls that have used fbb are very very happy. good luck!

i met w/ Metro Floral in Great Neck. When I called to make an appointment, the lady said Great Neck was their best location because the showroom was bigger than Astoria's. Also, I had a totally different experience..they guy I met with was a complete sweetheart and took his time answering every silly question I had, and also prepared a sample for me right on the spot...!
Guess it really depends on who the person meeting you is like!
ETA: also did a search for Metro Floral on Yelp but didnt find any reviews?

Sorry, never heard of Metro Floral. We are booked with Flowers by Brian. We asked them if they can not charge us tax and they didn't.

I haven't met with either, but in general, I feel like vendors are willing to cut out tax if you are willing to pay cash.
