Went to eat there tonight, sorry girls, it was terrible. Maybe they were having a bad night

The one in Glen Cove?

It could have been an off night .... we went to a wedding there last September, the food was phenomenal. I've always heard such good things about them too. Sorry you were disappointed.

Was it for a tasting??

see thats what freaks me about about places-- what constitutes an 'off night' ?? (not starting with you I promise!) but whats the say that my wedding isnt going to be an ' offnight?' I dont want any of my guests thinking that the food blew at the reception!

what was so bad about it?

that's what i'm curious about!

i'm sure anyone looking to book there (or who's wedding is coming up there) would like more details than just a quick review that the food was bad

I cant even begin to describe it, i really tried one thing and didnt eat the rest. They kept looking at us too! Tell ya the truth, alot of people had left overs. I dont know what was wrong. The chicken and tomatoes had a tartnesss to it, like it was cook with straight vinegar.The chicken had fat still left on it. The steak had vinegar too, oh, and so did the fish,mash potatoes,rice, and gravy! It was NASTY! The steak was cook so well, it looked awesome, i put one bite in my mouth, and it didnt taste right. Put some gravy on it, and it just didnt do the trick. My FH can eat anything, and im not just saying that. Food to him is great no matter what, and he didnt eat it. If you have a bad night like that, i cant imagine the GOOD food to be that good. Oh,but the coffee was great,and cake(which i dont eat usually) was ok too. I loved the pianist
