Metropolitan Brides repost from BHB (I know there are some of you out there!!)

We were there last night to finalize ourmenu and all those zillion last minute details and I can't tell you what a wonderful experience it was. We met with Eileen and she was absolutely wonderful. She answered all our questions without hesitation and really made us feel like once we walked through there doors there was nothing for us to worry about.

You should all pat yourselves on the back for making such a good choice!!

If you need any info or anything please feel free to contact me.

Oh and I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M GETTING MARRIED IN 23 DAYS!!

hi!

i would like to know more about the Metropolitan, too...we're having about 180 people. I looked at their Web site, but it's kind of bland---but hearing about the reasons wh you picked there would be VERY helpful---we're trying to get our place booked by Mid-March and i've gone to about 12 places so far....it's soo hard to choose!

Sorry guys. I'm just seeing this now because I'm working late. Things have been very hectic as you can imagine. Only 15 days.

The reason I love the Metropolitan is
1. they have one wedding at a time (very important to me)
2. the food is excellent. I really feel that they cater to people expecting fine dining.
3. it does not have that wedding factory feel
4. no cheesy (IMO) waterfalls or huge crystal chandeliers
5 the staff is amazing. They are so atypical from the others we met, not pushy or bossy or anything.
6. the balcony is awesome for your cocktail hour

My situation is a little different from both of you because I am getting married in the winter and don't need a place with grounds but I do recommend that you check it out if you're interested. Or in the very least FM me for more details.

We're having 140 people. I'm not sure what they can accomadate. Sorry!!

Oh and their web-site stinks!! After my wedding I'm hoping I can intice them to use some of my pictures to spruce it up!!

I am also getting married at the Metropolitan and can't picture having it anywhere else. It is not your typical catering hall. It has a 'supper club' feel to it. I found it very cozy and inviting.

Actually, it was the second place that we looked and we just fell in love with it. If you are looking for something that is classy and reasonably priced, I would definitely check it out.

I think the maximum amount of people they can accommodate is 180 or 190. Good luck!
