Mexican Honeymoon worries....

Well we are starting to look into booking our honeymoon desitinations and we're considering Mexico. However, our honeymoon is right in the middle of Spring Break. Any other time that would be fine, but not on our honeymoon. So she would just risk it, look elsewhere? Help, anyone??

It depends on where you're staying. Certain hotel are known for spring breaks. You should call the hotels and ask or maybe look at another destination.

If your thinking about Cancun I would look into Rivera Maya at an adults only hotel. It's close enough to Cancun that you can go 'out out' at night if you choose but then get away from the spring breakers.

I'd stay away from Alcopulco during spring break all together. It's just one strip of hotels by the beach and all are packed w/spring breakers.

I went to Mexico ( cancun)10 years ago for Spring break and it was wonderful! Not a place I would go for my Hm and we where 18 ( you can drink there at 18) so it would be a lot of teengers not even young adults!

That's definitely not what i want. I went about 10 years ago too, and like you said at 18 it's great but not for a honeymoon. Geez, this makes me feel old...

Errrr... I don't know if I'd want to chance it? Maybe ask your TA for ideas and see if you can possibly find somewhere ' off the beaten path'?
Best of Luck to you!!

I agree with looking for more Adult/Honeymoon driven hotels like Excellence and RIU. You might get a small portion of the crowd but not nearly as much as you would at lets say the Occidental or the Oasis

Maybe somewhere like Puerto Vallerta which is more money so I don't think it gets as popular with the college crowd as, say, Acapulco, or Cancun...
