Mexican/latin restaurants in Queens...

Can anyone recommend a fun Mexican restaurant in Queens for a bridal shower?? I heard there was on in Astoria, but I have no idea what the name of it is. If anyone can help, thank you...

Tequila sunrise in Bayside on Bell. There used to be one in Astoria but I don't think its there anymore on Northern/steinway. There is another Mex in astoria.. I think on 30th ave or broadway but I don't know its name or the size.

Cabana in Forest Hills (not sure how big it is) and its like cuban food.

yeah that one on the corner of northern and steinway is the ONLY one i can think of. That place has also changed names a few times and last time i saw they were fixing it so not sure whats going on with it now. But yeah otherwise no other mexican restaurants in astoria where you can have a party.

Cabana is one of my favorites, I LOVE IT but they dont do private parties. I mean you can get a big table but not even that big bc the place itself is not really all that big.

The only other place i can think of but problem is that its not in queens, very close though. But how about Don Juans on old country road by roosevelt field mall. I know they definitely do private parties there, and the food is good too.

I don't know if they do private parties, but I love the 5 Burros in Forest Hills

Yeah, that's the problem I'm running into, some of these places don't do private parties. I know there are some really nice places in the nyc, but it has to be Queens. Actually, thanks for suggesting Don Juan's in Nassau bc I totally forgot about this place and nassau may work out well!

There are 3 other restaurants I highly recommend in Astoria (but they are not Mex)
-the Island - gorgeous upstairs party room -global menu
-Amos - delicious greek food! great service, highly recommend (on lower steinway st)
-Cavo - greek food, very big place with outdoor space

well if you want it to definitely be in queens but willing to change it from mexican to something else, i can suggest lots of places for you to check out.

I also love the place 5 burros that someone above suggested but its real small and again no private parties.

I had my shower at Island and LOVED IT!!! decor is very different and modern, more of what i wanted.

Mexican- Cinco De Mayo on Bell has awesome food...inside is really cute and authentic...the sign on the outside kind of looks cheesy but inside is nice

Tu Casa on Metroplitan Ave (near Forest Hills not sure if its FH) has awesome latin food...not mexican though..they just added on and had a grand opening the new resturant is sooo nice and they were telling us there going to do private parties in there HTH

I was also going to recommend tequila sunrise in bayside. There's also cinco de mayo on bell blvd in bayside. I'm not sure if they do private parties. I've never been there but I've heard the food is good

cinco de mayo is really good and they do private parties for a pretty good price...

Pio Pio has great food, but I wouldn't want my bridal shower there. Way too loud and busy, plus no privacy - even upstairs.

Here is a place I have been to in Astoria. Not sure if they do private parties, but the place was nice and the food was good.
