Hey All...I'm thinking about booking a surprise trip to Cabo for FH and I....but, there's a lot of controversy about going to Mexico right now. I'm wondering......would you go? I don't think that Cabo is in a 'risky' area. Thoughts?

Re: Mexico????
No not at all! We went to Mexico last year in the middle of their drug wars (which pretty much happens all the time). Just watch yourself if you do any excursions (don't wear your ring or any flashy jewelry, bring a small purse). HTH! Have fun!

Re: Mexico????
My parents went to Cabo last April and they were fine. They stayed in the resort and they do excursions through the hotel and they had no problem. My mom said the worst part was trying to find the car/bus thing from the plane to the hotel.

Re: Mexico????
Everyone is ALWAYS saying its too dangerous to go to Mexico. I say dont worry about that and go have a blast! Ive been to Cancun when ppl said we shouldnt and I was fine. I also went to Acapulco during the whole Swine Flu epidemic and we were absolutely fine.
Just be smart, as you would in any other country, and dont go wondering off anywhere, any tours make sure you book through your hotel and go with a tour guide. Set up your transportation to and from the hotel in advance. Either online when u book your trip or through your travel agent. Usually works out cheaper that way anyways.
