Mexico Honeymoon

Anyone book a honeymoon to Mexico? What are you planning on doing there? Where are you staying?

Re: Mexico Honeymoon

Royal Hideaway is fabulous. I have been there twice. It's about an hour from Cancun in Playa del Carmen.

Re: Mexico Honeymoon

We're staying @ The Royal Hideaway, its an all inclusive resort. We'll probably spend most of our time on the resort itself, theres activites planned for the guests all day and ofcourse water activities (motorized ones arent included in the package) and I was told theres a place to go shopping not too far from the resort.

www.royalhideaway.com

I've heard the Secrets Resorts are nice as well.

Re: Mexico Honeymoon

thats where i was looking (royal hideaway) - is there a lot to do there - we arent the type to lay on the beach all day long so I was hoping to take some day trips or something. Did you pay 600 a night there or did you find a discounted deal?

Re: Mexico Honeymoon

We are also going to Aventura Spa Palace. We are going to go on some excursions but not too many (1 or 2 maybe) bc they are all included with our package. And just plan to relax, get some massages etc.

Re: Mexico Honeymoon

Royal Hideaway here too! We booked through Hayley at www.beachbumvacation.com after getting a low quote on www.discount-all-inclusive.com (Hayley beats competitor's quotes) and could not be happier...just a note, airfare is lowest from Sunday night until Wednesday morning. I can't recommend Hayley enough! A few girls from here have used as well...good luck!

Re: Mexico Honeymoon

All the places mentioned are in the Cancun/Riviera area, DH and I went to the Pacific side- one week in Acapulco and one week in Puerto Vallarta. If you want any suggestions for hotels or restaurants let me know.

Re: Mexico Honeymoon

I didn't go to Mexico for my HM.. but just went there for my 1 yr. anniversary. The Aventura Spa Palace is amazing!!! The beaches are real beaches, they're lagoons if you like that. We didn't mind. If we wanted the beach, we just went to Playa del Carmen for the day. There's also a day trip to Cozamel, which is gorgeous!
It's really beautiful there and everyone is so nice. You'll love it!
