Mexico honeymoons?

I am getting married in October and was wondering if Mexico would be a good place to go on a honeymoon? Do you recommend any all inclusive resorts?

Thanks.

I TOTALLY recommend Mexico - I loved it and would go in a second.

There are so many places to choose from, but fi and I wanted to be spoiled, pampered and catered to. We went to Occidental Royal Hideaway in Playa del Carmen (Yucatan Peninsula - Mayan Riviera, about 45min from Cancun) and cannot say enough great things about it...pricey, yes, but for a once in a lifetime trip definitely worth it!

We're staying at the Moon Palace in Cancun (it's actually closer to Riveria Maya, it's 40 min from downtown Cancun). I did a lot of research and it has a lot of ammenities. Check it out:

We are going for HM to El Dorado Royale which is in Riviera Maya. It's all inclusive and it looks beautiful. There are a few other people LIBrides that are also going there for HM.

Re: Mexico honeymoons?

FYI - The Mayan Riviera includes Cancun, Playa del Carmen and many, many more (what differs is the position of the property - Pacific Ocean, Caribbean Sea or Lagoon)...see below from travelyucatan.com:

Stretching from Punta Brava just south of Cancun International Airport to Punta Allen just south of Tulum. We do not know if there exists an exact spot where the Mayan Riviera starts but the general concensus is that once you get onto highway 307 along the coast in Quintana Roo you are pretty well in the Mayan Riviera. This highway runs from Cancun all the way down to Belize. The Mayan Riviera ends after Tulum, where the Costa Maya begins.

Cabo San Lucas , Mexico is gorgeous! Lots to do at night and during the day. We were there about 2 months ago and we got engaged there so I guess I am partial to Cabo! But seriously it is amazing, La Pamilla is great!

We didn't go to the Mayan Riviera, we went to the Pacific coast. We stayed one week in Acapulco and one week in Puerto Vallarta. Of the two we definitley preferred PV and I would highly reccomend it for a HM.
