Mexico Vacation

Anyone been to any all-inclusives anywhere in mexico (besides Cancun)? Would you recommend them?

Also, besides Cancun, anyone been to Mexico? What part/area do you recommend going to?

Trying to plan a vacation...

My FH went to Cozumel and he had all inclusive. He went diving with his best freind before we met and his photos of Cozumel & the underwater life are stunning.

I wouldnt suggest an allinclusive since a big part of the fun is eating and drinking out but Puerta Vallarta is great.

DH has a house (well since we are married...I guess its part mine too?) in Rocky Point MX...on the sea of cortez/gulf of california

its becoming very touristy...but its not crazy like the other areas in MX...

stef - No, I definitely want an all-inclusive for this trip. I have done both and this time definitely calls for all-inclusive. We are in the mood to sit around and not have to worry about meals and have as many umbrella drinks whenever we want. Love that about all-inclusives. Also, I am probably going with a group and all-inclusives make that kind of travel easier. I did this last year with a group of like 10 to DR and we loved it.

As anyone stayed at the Iberostars there? I went to 2 in DR and like what I saw so far of their chain?

Re: Mexico Vacation

We were looking into Mexica. I totally AGREE Go all-inclusive. It is the best.

How about Cabo San Lucas. I heard GREAT things.
If you find something let me know, you can give us some ideas.

Re: Mexico Vacation

FI had gone to Cozumel and I think it was all inclusive. I'll have to ask him when he comes home. Unfortunatly for him his experience in Cozumel wasnt wonderful. He got montasuma's (sp) revenge. He's been to Mexico 3 times (2 times Cancun and 1 time Cozumel. Cancun he never had any problems)

I'll ask him where he stayed when he comes home from work

Re: Mexico Vacation

FH and I went to Cabo San Lucas for our last vacation but it wasn't all inclusive because he doesn't like the idea of being stuck in the resort. It was a great place to go though...very relaxing but still plenty to do if you don't like to sit still. And even though we didn't go all inclusive, the food EVERYWHERE was so inexpensive...except for only one place that had 'new york' prices (which wasn't as good as the cheaper places!)

We had at least 2 meals a day that we charged to the room (breakfast, sometimes lunch and always happy hour - we went out for dinner) for 8 days and the bill was something like $200 at the end of the week. Not bad IMO.
