Michelle W - Tri County Flea Market

We got a ring for Derek yesterday at Tri County flea market yesterday. Did you get your rings yet? There were a lot of booths and he found something he liked. If you are not inclined to go to 47th Street and you are looking for something reasonable, I thought they were great. There was a large enough selection in his size that he could try enough styles to see what looked best. If you haven't gotten the rings yet - get moving girl! 10 days right??! How exciting!

We haven't gotten our rings yet, and I ahve heard alot about this flea market in this board. I live in Manhattan and don't know LI that well, can anyone give me an exact adress or directions to this place. Thanks.

Hi everyone, we are new to this board, but not new to wedding planning. Well, this weekend, we hit a breaking point. We started adding up #s, hoping to make our final reception site decision. We are so afraid of how much a LI wedding with all of the trimmings will cost that we are actually considering running away to the Caribbean and getting married there w/small reception on the beach. I know that this is the liwedding resource board, not the caribbean board, but I am wondering if any of you have considered this? Are we crazy?? I value all of your opinions and ideas. Thank you!! C-n-E

Thanks,

It is in Levittown on Hempstead Turnpike between Routes 106 & 107, close to the Wantagh Parkway. The phone # is (516) 579-4500. This is how we went from Queens: LIE to Route 106/107 South. We followed 106 to Hempstead Turnpike and made a left. Rode that for about 1 mile (or less), it will be on your lefthand side. (You'll see a Bally's right before you get to it on the same side). We saw that the Wantagh was right there and took that on the way back but I don't know what exit it is.

They have all sorts of flea market stuff there on the first floor but if you take the elevator up it is a whole floor of booths.

don't know if you are interested, but as a another suggestion i know of an amazing jeweler in northport. i told them exactly what kind of engagement ring i wanted and they designed it from scratch. it came out beautiful. i would really recommend them to any and everyone. the name of the store is tudor jewelers, located in northport. i love my ring and can't tell you how sweet and accomodating they were. they didn't push anything on us, just listened and gave their 2 cents based on our ideas. let me know if you are interested and i'll give you the address.
