Michelle31 - Question on your hotel post

I`m having my reception in Setauket, and I`m thinking about blocking off a certain about of rooms at the Wind Watch in Hauppauge. Did you have to put down a deposit for this? If so, do you mind telling me how much it was? My wedding isn`t until next Fall, but I want to reserve some rooms in case some guests want to stay out there. Thanks!

Terri- Here is the info

When you request a room block you give a credit card, ,but it is not charged. It just holds the reservation. The rooms are $139/per night. We had to guarentee 10 rooms, which is not a problem for us. The staff at the hotel is excellent and explains every detail to you when you call. Also, the bride and groom are upgrade to a large room for free. The coordinator told me not to spend the extra on a bridal suite. She said to save the money for the honeymoon hotels. And she is right. By the time we get to the hotel it will be after midnight.
