We are looking to move into Manhattan. Possibly West 50s. What do you think of the area?

West 50s....

Well, the West 50s can be very commercial with little residential at all. Also, West 50s between 9th and 12th Avenue can be very sketchy. I would go East 50s and up or Upper West Side above 59th Street. On the Upper East Side you will get the best deal for your money. Upper West and downtown (Grammercy Area, SoHo and Tribeca) will be the most expensive.
