I would like to shed about 20lbs as well. I am relatively active and work out at least 3X a week. I do a combination of strength training and cardio. My 'problem spot' are my lower abs aka 'badge of motherhood' having a c section sometimes alters your body. Yes I am 39 but do not feel that age should ever be excuse not to be fit. I am a healthy looking woman, sturdy you might say..not fat not skinny, but yes I have meat on my bones
Breakfast Today
Egg white omelette with green peppers, mushrooms and onions
Bottle of Water

You go sexy woman. I feel you. I have the lower ab problem too, I try not to target my weight loss . Michelle, remember if you have been doing the same thing, you might need to change up your routine. Our bodies are smart and it adapts quickly. So the best thing I have found is constantly changing your routine. I will be here to track you and your progress.

Re: MichelleW log
I am trying new things as well.. I will take a pilates mat class soon to see how that is.. I trade off between the elliptical and stairmaster, I love a defined toned look.
What is your training like these days I am always open to suggestion

Re: MichelleW log
Michelle, do you do any dancing, water aerobic etc. I am going to be incorporating Pilates starting next week I am so excited I can't wait. Don't forget brisk walking. So many different things. We can definitely trade ideas and see what works.

I actually was looking into water aerobics, but they only have it one night a week and it interferes with Steve's class

Re: MichelleW log
Shamma- you're so right! I read an article that states you have to put your body into 'shock' sometimes. If you keep doing the same thing, your body is use to it, and it won't have the same effects as if you try new things. It even states that if you do the same weights, sometimes put it to a heavier weight, and do less reps. OR, less weight w/ more reps- just to keep 'it on it's toes'. Do you ladies work in the city? Where do you go to the gym?

Re: MichelleW log
Your menus look great.. I would say step up the water big time. i heard on low carb you need to drink 1 gallon of water a day. I'm lucky if i can get through 3 liters, but i try.
also, if you are on LC, have real salad dressing- it tastes better, why eat low fat if you are eating low carb.
I just lost 2% body fat and I probably eat more fat than anyone on this board. I ate spare ribs for lunch w/ egg drop soup!
