The details (LONG)

Sorry ladies, have been in post honeymoon lala land . I enjoyed my wedding immensly

Steven and I got married on Friday, February 16th. The weather outside was horrible and there wasn't a dry eye in the chapel including mine as we took our vows. I guess what started the waterworks was my son Brandon walking me down the aisle and then kissing me before 'giving me to Steven', it was defintely a 3 tissue moment. Here is the rundown of our day

Salon Menage - Wantagh
Cannot say enough GREAT things about Michelle. She did both my hair and makeup and truly made me feel like a princess. The fee was $135 before the tip. She was wonderful to work with and my hair and makeup stayed great all night. The only thing I had to touch up was my lipstick

Coachman Limousines
My driver Pete was there on time and was both courteous and sweet. I think if he could have carried me the few feet into the chapel so my shoes wouldn't get wet he would have. The limos were clean and well stocked, and he made sure everyone was in the Chapel before I got out of the car. They also provided a town car at the end of the reception to take us back to the hotel. I had one 10 passenger limo that picked up the guys first and then cam back for me and the girls. $350 plus the gratuity for Pete

Lavendar Photo/Classic Video
I had contracted with Lavendar for my photos and assumed they did the video as well, however on my caller ID the video person was calling from Classic..lofet me a bit puzzled but all worked out. Mike was the photographer and we had a good time taking out pictures..some were 'traditionally posed', wich was what I wanted, others were more candid. Steve was the videographer, and I have to say he wasn't in my face..lol. He didn't getin the way at all or leave me blind. Will let you all know how I really feel after I get the proofs back
No gratuities were given, but full meals were

The Historical Chapel $750
Hmmm here's where I got a bit pissed. My florist tried to deliver the pew bows and was turned away by them becasue all of a sudden they had a last minute wedding at 4:30. I got agitated and called Joanne as I was getting dressed..she assure me that she would personally put the pew bows with the roses on the pew before the ceremony..NOT my FI wound up doing it. The Rev Carrol was ok..not great..don't know if he is ill or what but had the shakes like you would not believe. Also when he lit the the Unity candle he pulled out a lighter to light them.. TACKY

Flowers by Lorraine - $650
I was a bit dissapointed with my flowers, when we went in for the appointment I conveyed that I wanted a round hand tied bouquet with the ribbon. What I got was a roundish looking bouquet in one of the plastic holders..

The Manor East
All in all the reception was great. Jeannine, the Maitre D made sure Steven and I wanted for nothing, and we did give her an extra tip at the end of the evening as well as tips for the waitstaff, bartenders, and coatcheck/bathroom people.

The food was very good, the cocktail hour was nicely set up and everyone had a seat, there was no juffling plates and glasses as you try to eat standing up. My mom told me that as quick as a tray emptied a fresh one was brough out. The dinner itself was good, we had swordfish, primerib, and Chicken Zingara. The portions were very big. My brother in law told me that that came
out with seconds if anyone wanted it.
The mini-viennese was also a hit, especially since it was not placed on the dance floor.

The only negatives about the Manor East are if you want grounds for pics, forget it and the attitude of one of the Managers was less than desirable. We didn't meet our minimum, so he raised our price per person and absorbed $500. However he practically told us we should be grateful for his kindness, which really didn't sit well with me.
