Good God NO! Do not do anything to your face two weeks before your wedding no matter what anyone tells you! (You just gave me a heart attack!) You should start with a facial regimin at least 6 months before your wedding. I'm surprised you don't have one now. Here's what I would suggest. I do not have an acne problem but I still use proactive 3 step. cleanse, estringent, and repair. I also use the moisturizer with spf15 and the Replenishing eye serum. The eye syrum is one of the best out there. It has Co-Q10 & Green tea. (You will pay if you go to a dept. store) I find that the proactive does a good job of cleaning and brightening my skin. (They also have body products and I use them as well)
For microdermabrasion you can go to CVS and buy yourself a kit. I use Neutrogena bc it's good if you should have sensitive skin. I believe they also make a peel. If they don't then I know L'oreal makes a peel.
It takes at least two weeks to start to see results from theses products. And what if you get a reaction on your face? What if your skin turns bright red and that takes two weeks to clear up? What if it leaves your skin too dry or too oily? You need time to make adjustments.
Good luck! If you need anything let me know!
YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED IN AUGUST! Then you should start now! Plus tanning will help if you have oily skin. But don't get too dark.

Re: microdermabrasion/light peels?
i've had acne for years and with proactive it's mostly cleared up, but i still have some scars.
4 weeks ago i started microdermabrasion treatment, so far i've had 2 of six treatments. my skin has never looked better. it's clearer, softer and somehow 'brighter.' i plan on having my 6th treatment a week before my wedding, so in my opinion (definitely see a dermatologist) you should be okay and be able to get 2-3 sessions in before your wedding and see results.
FM for more details if you're interested, i'm definitely a fan of microdermabrasion.

I agree completely. Don't go crazy, you need to figure things out waaay in advance, you never know how your face will react. I have sensitive skin, went for a bunch of facials. in the end, I highly recommend dermalogica products. My FH thinks I'm gorgeous no matter what (ha) but soo noticed since I started using this a mere week ago ( special cleansing gel, good on any skin types) that my face looked soo even toned and clear. But please, be careful because doing something drastic can be really good, or really bad. I'm getting married in August and I got a facial last week, and will not be getting anymore before my weddding b/c I do not want to irratate my skin. Good luck, don't stress!

Re: microdermabrasion/light peels?
sorry i should clarify... i had a facial June 17 and then a light peel June 21 from the derm (i don't have acne, just some clogged pores and dullness). i've had microdermabrasion in the past and haven't had a reaction but i'm not sure what will give me that radiant glow. sometimes i feel like microderm looks nice the first week but then you don't really see any difference... so i'm torn as to which to do next week. that will allow me 2 1/2 weeks to deal with any irritation if any.

Re: microdermabrasion/light peels?
my dermatologist recommended silk therapy or something like that 1 and 2 months before my wedding, which is in November. I'm going in September for my first one. I have roseacea, so she said this would help.
I've never had it done before, but I'm hoping it will even everything out on my skin. She also recommended that I have airbrushing done for my wedding day, which I was already planning on doing.
They do silk therapy treatments - and a whole lot of other stuff - in my dermatologist's office. FM me if you want her info. . She's in Plainview.
