someone on here mentioned how to put text behind text or a picture behind text in microsoft word. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Re: microsoft word help
I can do it. You have to insert the picture then insert text box on top of the picture. Not sure if I am explaining it right. Like for instance if you are making table numbers you would insert your picture then insert a text box on top of the picture. I hope I didn't confuse you

Yes, my 12 yr old just showed me how to do it. Insert clip art-pick design. Right click on picture and click on format. Pick tab for layout and then box for 'beyond text'. Does that make sense? I tried to do steps as I am typing it.

When I insert a textbox on top of the picture it leaves a box behind maybe if I explain what i'm trying to do it'll help? I'm doing my placecards. I want to have the couples name in the middle of the placecard and a faded table # behind it. Does that make sense?

I think i gave you the directions for powerpoint. I had a hard time with word. I ended up using powerpoint for all my DIY but i guess you would need to use a word template for placecards then. Sorry I am of no help

the problem is I'm not inserting a picture I just want a # behind the guest's name so the layout option you're talking about doesn't pop up
